Waterbabies Cambridgeshire
This is our nomination for awards which we entered into in 2010. We couldn't have hoped for a more glowing recommendation which we are very grateful for.
“Liz Weston deserves to win The Inspirational Business Mum 2010 award because she inspires everyone she meets. It’s doesn’t matter what the topic is - whether it’s with reassuring people she doesn’t know about potty training, or talking about SEO for websites, she’s encourages, facilitates and links everyone together. She is a big believer that ‘what goes around, comes around’ and works on this basis in everything she does. I find that inspirational in itself.
Liz juggles home and work life admirably – she inspires me daily, with her ability to work flexibly and how she marshalls her troops, without it looking like they are on a strict schedule. I like how she tells clients they can have meetings early in the day or in the evening, as she needs to find time with her boys. People respect that and warm to her for it. She’s even inspired local women to start their own business and taken time out of her own schedule to help them get going at no benefit to herself.
And to top it all off, she volunteers for Cambridge NCT. She’s brought them more than 10K of local grants in 2 years – the most they’ve ever generated in grants to date. She stuffs bags, envelopes and gives out flyers willingly, usually with a little person in tow as her helper. How she bribes her children to do this so nicely, I’ll never know. Liz would be a great recipient of this award, because she epitomises everything it entails, on so many levels. And she would be a great advocate for the awards by winning it, simply because that’s the kind of person she is – inspirational.”
